Description: This wonderful vintage Pennsbury Pottery set consists of the following pieces.Pitcher - it has an Amish couple on one side and two pretzels on the other. It measures approximately 7 1/4" tall, 6" in diameter and it is 7 1/2" across at the widest part. It is in very good vintage preowned condition with just a small chip on the front edge of the spout which is under the glaze (as shown in photos 5 and 6). An artistic hand could touchup to make less noticeable. Creamer and lidded sugar bowl - these have the Amish hex sign on both sides. The creamer is 2 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" from handle to spout. The sugar bowl is 2 7/8" tall, 3" with lid and 4 1/2" handle to handle. Both are in excellent vintage preowned condition with no chips, hairlines or restorations.A bit of history…..Henry Below, his wife and son operated the Pennsbury Pottery in Morrisville, PA from 1950 until 1970 when it was destroyed by fire. Henry's wife designed most of their pieces which included Amish people, hex signs, Eagles, roosters and barber shop quartets. All are done in the folk art fashion.
