Description: ***MORE PICTURES are below or click See more or See full description***VINTAGE ORIGINAL BLACK VELVET PAINTING IN A COOL GOLDEN YELLOW COLOR OF A MOUNTAIN, LAKE AND TREES UNDER AN EARLY MORNING OR LATE AFTERNOON SUN LIT OR COULD BE NIGHT SKY I bought this at an estate auction and it had been stored under plastic. It is in as found condition with light dust and some light marks but most notably is a dent or crush mark along the bottom inner frame area of the velvet where something got pushed against the felt material while being stored. You can't really see it well unless examined up close, so it still displays nicely as is and you may be able to flatten that area out a bit. The paint in that area is a little scratched, but again, not that bad and you can't really notice it. It has been signed in bottom right corner "Moran" which I believe is an artist known as Chuy Moran. Back of wood frame is stamped Hecho En Mexico. Not sure exactly when made but could be from the 1950's, 1960's or 1970's (60's is my guess). The frame has that unique MCM design cut in the wood that is reminiscent of the time period. Ready to hang with wire on back. The frame measures 39"x29.25" and the viewable area of the painting is 34.25"x24.5". There are 15 pictures to look through. Selling as is. (NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING-shipping may be quoting very high as I only have one large box to ship this in and the box itself is very heavy.
